About UPS & Our Culture

Every holiday season, UPS's fulfillment center network expands rapidly to handle one of the largest package volume surges in global logistics. Millions of holiday gifts, online orders, and time-sensitive shipments flow through our facilities from November through January — and we hire thousands of seasonal fulfillment workers to keep pace with every single one of them. These seasonal fulfillment center jobs are the fastest hiring, highest-urgency, and most financially rewarding short-term warehouse opportunities in the logistics industry. And for associates who perform well, seasonal fulfillment at UPS is more than a holiday gig — it is a genuine audition for a permanent union position with benefits that last a career.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"I applied for UPS seasonal fulfillment specifically to earn holiday income and was not thinking beyond January. By Thanksgiving, my supervisor had already asked if I was interested in staying. By Christmas I had a permanent offer with full Teamsters benefits. The overtime during peak weeks was extraordinary — I earned more in six weeks than I had in any comparable stretch at any other job. Seasonal fulfillment jobs that actually convert to permanent careers are rare — UPS is one of the few places it genuinely happens at scale." - Former Seasonal, Now Permanent Fulfillment Worker, Sacramento, CA.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Seasonal Fulfillment Worker, you join our fulfillment center operation during the November-through-January holiday peak window, executing high-volume sort and load functions at the most demanding pace of the calendar year — processing the holiday gifts and e-commerce orders that millions of families are counting on to arrive on time.

• Peak-Volume Sort Execution: Process dramatically elevated holiday package volumes across assigned sort functions — sorting belts, trailer loading, or inbound unloading — at throughput rates significantly above normal-season levels while maintaining UPS accuracy and safety standards without exception.
• Overtime Capture: Accept voluntary and mandatory overtime hours during the highest-volume peak days — Cyber Week, pre-Christmas, and post-holiday return surge — substantially increasing your seasonal paycheck beyond what standard hours alone generate.
• Permanent Hire Performance: Demonstrate the reliability, accuracy, and work ethic that UPS management actively evaluates during the seasonal window, positioning yourself as a strong candidate for a permanent Teamsters union fulfillment position at the conclusion of the peak period.

Benefits & Perks

UPS Seasonal Fulfillment Workers receive competitive hourly wages, significant overtime opportunities, and weekly direct-deposit paychecks from their very first shift. Seasonal associates who convert to permanent status immediately access the full Teamsters benefits package — medical, dental, vision, pension, and UPS Earn & Learn tuition assistance — making a seasonal fulfillment start one of the most valuable career pivots available in any holiday job market.
